As experienced recruiters and business professionals, we have direct experience in the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). They are not the enemy! They are not what makes the hiring process "broken" (and in fact, it works as intended)!
Job Hunters need to know better than to put forth a resume that gets "past the ATS." There is no getting past an ATS when it comes to applying for jobs in many organizations. Even if you've successfully networked with a hiring manager, you would still be required to apply through the system (in the US, most companies).
